Where's the rain? been waiting all month and all it seems to do is trickle a little here and there. Had quite a few seatrout off the Hodder at Knowlemere at night, but not even seen a salmon. know it's still quite early but has anyone had any salmon off at gisburn? or the Lune?

Been up at the Lune today. Seen plenty of coloured fish running through (straight past my fly!) No fish caught by anyone but at least it was a beautiful day even if the water was a bit low. Hoping for a spot of rain before Saturday's season end.

Ian,
I managed to get on the Lune on the last day plenty of water so went Spinning. So was my head when I finished. Couldn't catch a cold.
Roll on next year. Might see you there.

Hi guys,
Good to see someone using the forum. We're going to advertise it in the next lffa circular to try and get more people on. It's a really cheap way of getting info out to.
On the fishing note, I ended up with 3 salmon lost and none landed. Two of them were on the last day out for me which was tuesday of the last week. The first was a nice little fish that I had on for about 10 mins, and was reaching for the net when it took off, the line wasn't coming off the reel fast enough so I reached for the drag and …. turned it the wrong bloody way – ping went the line!!
Headed down to sewage works pool to finish off and on my last cast a bigger fish took and charged around the pool before the hook came out, typical. I was chuffed to get into fish though as no one else had touched anything since day break when 3 were landed. Think people were fishing too big, I was using a size 12 low water double ally's shrimp, and when I passed some of the others great big splashes of bottle tubes were being made!
and I agree … Bring on the grayling
Jack
